Discipleship
At St. Luke, several opportunities are available for Christian education and discipleship for all ages.
Adult education is provided by the Anam Cara Center, an affiliated ministry of St. Luke. Most courses are led by either Sister Susan or by Pastor Robb, with the exception of our excellent lecture series, which brings in speakers from around the Southeast.
Lutheran Men in Mission meet on the first Monday night of every month for Bible study, prayer, and mutual support. The men also sponsor fellowship activities and service projects.
The Order of St. Luke is an ecumenical order of women and men devoted to healing and prayer ministry. The order currently meets on the first and third Thursday nights at St. Luke.
Sunday School is available for all ages at 9:40 on Sunday mornings. Nursery is available during this time so that adults may also attend adult education sessions.
Women of the ELCA (WELCA) is currently under formation. Contact Sister Susan for more information.
Youth Ministry meets weekly during the Sunday School hour for discipleship classes and planning activities. Our youth participate in the All- Georgia Youth Gathering, the National Youth Gathering, and other synodical and national events. We also plan periodic fellowship events, such as lock-ins, concerts, and sporting events.
Please note: Additional opportunities for spiritual growth, including spiritual direction, pastoral services, retreats and consultations are available through the Anam Cara Center. Please visit the center's page under the "Ministry" menu of this site.
